As many of you know, TARGET has banned The Salvation Army from soliciting in front of its stores, in order to be consistent with its policies concerning other groups. Target is now facing a backlash from Concerned Women of America and other radical fundamentalist groups for its stance.
It seems that the Salvation Army has a large issue - lack of donations and a lack of volunteers. Now, in certain locations they are resorting to the use of motorized cut out bell ringers to replace volunteers. Of course, the Salvation Army has a history of discriminating against Gays, with the help of the Bush Administration. (Washington Post - subscription required.)
To those of you considering giving to charity, lets keep the pressure on the Salvation Army by giving them these vouchers instead of cash. Maybe they will eventually learn the price of discrimination.
